[EDIT 4/23/26: Decided to reshare this lol] [NOTE: I worked quite a while on this so if you could share this with other Mega Man Scratchers, it would be much appreciated.] - INTRODUCTION - Hello! I've been working on this game on and off for years. It's been a passion project for me ever since I started posting crap about Mega Man DOS. Hope you enjoy the culmination of all this. - CONTROLS - While on title screen SPACE to start While on Boss Select LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to pick boss SPACE to select boss In Game LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to move Z to jump X to shoot 9 to self-destruct (this was, in fact, a real option in the original game) - STORY - Doctor Wily (or Wiley, take your pick), the evil mad scientist, has hijacked a supercomputer known as CRORQ, which has the power to TAKE OVER THE WORLD. In addition to three new robot masters, who, when defeated, give you keycards that can access Wily's lair. - WELCOME TO THE MEGA MAN DOS BOSS RUSH - Mega Man DOS was an old game developed by one man, Stephen Rozner, for the MS-DOS (PC), being a fangame that was licensed as a real Capcom game. Thus, Rozner didn't have a lot of assets from the true Mega Man on NES and had to recreate a lot of things by hand. The game didn't do so well critically and is now panned as one of the worst video games of all time. So, what better game to make a Scratch boss rush of? That being said, however, 99% of the assets from this Scratch game are ripped directly from the original DOS game, so I won't be responding to comments such as "oh that sprite looks horrendous". It's all part of the meme appeal of the game! - CREDITS - Capcom and Stephen Rozner for original DOS game Sprites Inc @NeonScratcher1275 textcraft.net @retrokid104 (for some code and the MegaNext Engine V2, which I used to animate and code Mega Man) @DancingBoi @DailyNinja9842 (RIP) @TwinDemise Myself for the game Credit to anyone else who helped me in any way who I may have forgotten to credit. Thank you for reading and have a great time playing this game! Or a bad time, because Mega Man DOS is a bad game. Take your pick.
