The man came in mumbling about something. He bounced onto the couch and picked a book from the shelf to read. Weird enough, he was reading in the dark. They started checking the drawers. Suddenly, Umar saw a black stone inside of a box in one of the drawers. The box had a keyhole on it, and most probably, the man had the keys in his pocket! They sneaked out of the room and saw Abdullah asleep on the sofa, snoring loudly. Umar, stealthily took the bunch of keys Abdullah had in his pockets. He ran into the room and tried the keys. One of the keys opened the box. He took the stone and carefully places it in his pocket. They snuck out and left the door open. ✩✩✩ When they reached a safe place, they decided to discuss what to do with the stone. "The stone is black, symbolizing black magic, and the golden glowing lines, are the soul of Amal.", Amna theorized. "We need to get the golden lines to come off of the stone.", Sarah added to the discussion. "Let's throw it into the ocean, if the lines are some kind of powder, they'd wash off.", Umar suggested a brilliant idea. They hopped onto their bikes and rushed towards the beach. Sarah noticed Abdullah following them, yelling weird things. He started to catch up. "Give me the stone.", Amna yelled. "But...", Umar didn't finish. "Give me the stone!", Amna yelled aggressively! Umar threw the stone towards Amna hoping she'd catch it. She almost missed it. but managed to grab onto it. She threw it as hard as she could, towards the ocean, hoping it'd land in the water. The stone was the matter of life and death of Amna, and freedom of the soul of Amal. The stone splashed into the water and golden gleaming powder rose from the surface of the water. The powder then vanished into thin air, and so did Abdullah. Amna saw the ghost smile down at her as if saying Thank you. Amna's heart was finally at peace! "Thank thou, sweet Child!" ╰┈➤ project ┊ credits music :: swipe - itzy novelette :: mysteries of the white island author :: me (@-----rosie-----)
