For the mouse trail, I taught myself to make one by pulling apart more projects than I can count, but most notably Tolkienfan's 'Scratch Survey' and Magrat-Garlick's 'Free Shoutouts!'. And I fully intended the snowflakes to end up the size they are, move as slowly as they do, and clutter up as much of the screen as they do. I'm planning something for when I follow 50 people as well.
