Background: Do not waste food! Food waste helps with most of the problems that we have with the earth. For example, all the food wasted in the U.S. in one year could feed 25% of people who do not have food for the rest of their life. If you did not waste food for the rest of your life, you would have saved 7 tons of food. So if you did not waste food, you would have been able to feed someone food for 10% of their lifetime. Food waste also helps create greenhouse gases too. Wasted food that goes to landfills creates 30% of greenhouse gases.
