Me: Hello I'm Sunny Me:Today we are going to be talking about one of the most popular scratcher run camps on scratch. Scratch Writing Camp. Me: If you don't know what SWC is here is a explanation pulled from the November 2021 camper sign ups, "SWC, or Scratch Writing Camp, is a triannual virtual writing camp, in that each participant sets a word goal for themselves and aims to write that number of words throughout camp. But that's not all we do - SWC also entails activities to help you with your writing, fun challenges with creative limitations, and other tasks that you can complete to earn your cabin points." Me: It runs in March, July, and November from the first to the last day of the month. Me: A camp like this must have faced some problems right? Me: Yes they have. Today we will talk about the most recent problem they have had. The studio update. Me: The studio update has made it so only the owner can make edits to the description. In the past each cabin has had 2 co-leaders and a leader, which they still do, and the campers all commented their word counts in the same place then one of the (co)leaders would add the words. The new update has made this impossible. SWC has had to find ways around this issue which was thrown in during the July 2021 session. Me: A problem some scratchers have with it is that they consider it unhealthy. They say that people could stay up far too late on things like word wars. Me: SWC has done it's best to discourage people from doing this and all over there you can see things like. "real life over SWC". Me: SWC has done it's best to encourage mental and physical health among it's campers and has worked hard to overcome challenges. Me: It is an awesome camp for people who want to become better writers by seeing others work, workshops or critique.
