The average emission rate around the world is 2.4 million pounds of carbon dioxide is released into the air every second. Average emission of carbon dioxide from natural gas-fired generation is 1135 lb. An easy way to stop this is something as simple as turning off a light switch. By turning off lights when you're not using it you could be saving as much as 567 kg of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere. Doing simple easy things like this can make a big difference to the world.
