Did you know that only 1% of the water on earth is accessible for humans to drink. If we continue to waste water then there will be none left for us to use. In America, 7 billion gallons of clean water is wasted each day. When you take a 5-minute shower, you are using 2.5 gallons of water every minute. That’s a total of 6.25 gallons. That amount is equivalent to how much water 12 thirteen-year-olds should drink a day. There are many ways we can help save water. For example, you can wash your pet on the lawn instead of inside a tub. This way, the extra water you have can be used to water the grass instead of being wasted. People also waste water by brushing their teeth with the water running. Little actions we do can help save water. Such as keeping water inside the pool when playing, taking short showers instead of baths, and checking your pipes for leaks. Thomas Fuller once said, “We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.”
