I started to get into Friday Night Funkin', and Boyfriend and Girlfriend turned up in the Blank Space! Pyre, bored, agrees to rap battle, but gets annoyed when he loses, due to his (and my) over - competitiveness. This means he drops his guard and allows his demon and angel, Shade and Incarnate Pyre, to take control and fight to keep it from the other. Pyre is slowly driven mad, but if beaten, is restored to a slightly shaken but sane state. He sings one more song as a payment for Boyfriend helping him. Later, however, the Blank Space becomes dark and stormy. It seems Pyre had not yet fully recovered from the incident and Shade Pyre was able to take enough control to send dark magic flowing into Pyre, turning him into Edgelord Pyre.
