Hello and Welcome! It has been a while since I last designed a character, and by a while I mean since September. The last time I designed a character was when I made a ref sheet of Photophobia, and it was only a slight redesign. So since it has been a while, and I don't have a wof oc yet (surprisingly), I decided to design Comet! ---Bio--- Name: Comet Gender: Female Tribe: Silkwing Age: 9 years old Inspiration: Comet moth (press space to see) Backstory: Have you ever wanted to just blend in with everyone else? Have you ever wanted to just have a normal life, and to look normal? Well for Comet, a nine year old Silkwing, this was impossible. Comet hadn't gone through metamorphosis at age seven like other Silkwings do, and therefore had no wings and no silk. While walking down the streets she often heard things like "Ew, she's so weird!" And, "What a freak!" which only made her feel worse about herself. Most nights she cried herself to sleep, wishing she could just be normal. Comet's only friends were stuffies, and imaginary dragons, and she was constantly wondering if she'd ever have real friends. Her life was miserable. One day, just like every other day, she was walking to the market to buy some fruit. Every dragon she passed either looked at her funny, or muttered to nearby neighbors (likely about how weird she was). She tried her best to stick to the shadows of the tall houses, but in some spots it was impossible. Just get there, buy the dried apricots, and leave. She thought, walking faster. Comet pulled out her purse, and started to count money. I hope I have enough... She thought. The fruit has been rather pricey lately... Comet was so caught up in counting the shiny pieces of silver that she didn't notice a red Hivewing right in front of her, walking down the streets. Thump! Comet collided with the Hivewing, knocking both her, and the other dragon to the ground! "I'm so sorry!" She said hurriedly, getting up off the ground. Comet expected the Hivewing to scold her, or worse, get her thrown in prison for disrespecting them, but instead the Hivewing slowly got up, and smiled. "That's alright. Nobody is injured, right? The Hivewing said, then quickly added "Rhyme unintentional!" Comet couldn't help but smile back. "What's your name anyways?" The Hivewing asked. Woah! Somebody is actually asking me my name! She thought, shocked. That hasn't happened since I was six! "I'm Comet! What's your name?" She replied, trying to keep the surprise out of her voice. "I'm Stag, named after the beetle, but most people call me Buzz because I'm constantly talking." The red Hivewing said, clearly holding back laughter. Then Stag noticed her lack of wings. Surprise, mixed with sadness (but surprisingly not anger or disgust) spread across The Hivewing's face. "Are you ok?! Does that hurt at all?!" She asked, alarmed. "Yes I'm fine, and it doesn't hurt at all. For some reason I didn't go through metamorphosis, so I don't have wings." Comet replied calmly. She was then surprised, realizing that was the first time anyone had ever asked, therefore the only time she had ever told anyone. Is a Hivewing of all dragons seriously the first dragon to ever care?! She wondered, shocked. "Woah! cool!" Stag replied, smiling. "Wait, you don't find it weird, or freaky?!" Comet asked. Just the thought of this seemed to surprise the strange Hivewing. "No, do you?!" She asked, concerned. "Well... sort of." Comet replied awkwardly. "I can't say I wouldn't change it if I could." Stag made the face the bullies next door always made when they came up with their next scheme to make Comet's like miserable. I think she has an idea... Comet thought. "I might be able to help you with that problem," The Hivewing slowly replied, "But you have to follow me to my workroom." Comet took a deep breath. "Ok. what are you thinking?" She asked, wanting to make sure nothing bad was going to happen. "I might be able to make you some fake wings, so you can AT LEAST fly." Stag said simply. Little did she know, this one idea had just won her Comet's forever loyalty and trust. Sorry that was a bit long. I tried to keep it as short as possible, while still having a good story, but that is a bit difficult. I hope you enjoyed it at least!
