The teacher pointed to the seat next to you, which happened to be empty. "You can sit next to Mouse, although I wouldn't get my hopes up about them talking to you." She muttered that last part but you heard it anyway. Iru walked over and sat down, giving you a small wave. You pretended not to see it and took out a notebook. The teacher droned on with something about wavelength and frequency. You already knew about this. In fact, you used to have the highest grades in the whole school. But too much attention was brought onto you and you started to get questions wrong so you'd end up with an average score. After your first period, you slipped through the hallways to your study hall. It was the only class you liked since you were the only one who really attended it. Everyone else just did their own thing somewhere else and the teacher sometimes didn't show up either. Sitting in your usual seat, you grabbed your computer and typed in your passcode, then started to do some homework. The door opened a few minutes later and Iru walks in. He takes a seat across the room from you. He says something but you couldn't hear what from your headphones. You continue to work and eventually finish before the period was over. Not wanting to be around people, you packed your things and walked. People in the hallway glared at you and whispered. Feeling the need to crawl in a hole, you adjust the sleeves of your sweatshirt and pull on your hood. Someone tripped you and made you fall. Your stuff was sprawled all over the floor. Kids laughed as you scrambled to pick it up, your face burning. Suddenly, someone was shouting, then kneeling in front of you while handing you your books. Iru started saying something, but in the heat of the moment, you shoved him and ran down the hallway. Glancing back for a moment, you saw his confused and shocked expression, which made your heat deflate a bit.
