Summer Break Begins Riley: Finally! Freedom! Summer break! (excited, and a little relieved) Kirian: Lucky you. I get /summer school/ now. (annoyed) Riley: I feel sorry for you. Getting out of school just to get /into/ another school (only mostly genuine, also slightly amused) Kirian: Tell me about it! (annoyed) [they continue walking across the lawn, and a shadow covers them. Riley looks up in shock, and Kirian narrows their eyes. A spaceship hovers in the air] Riley: What- what is THAT? (shocked) Kirian: Trouble. (worried) [the screen goes black] Faylin: Special Operative Kirian Riplia. Kirian: That’s me. (acknowledging) Riley: What?! What is even going on? (scared, and demanding) Faylin: We’ll explain that in a moment. But right now, we need to get YOU to safety. Your life is in danger. Kirian: So they’ve found her? (curious and worried) Riley: Waitwaitwait. BACK UP! Who FOUND ME? And why is my LIFE in DANGER? What is even going on? (still scared and demanding) Faylin: You, Riley Wolff, have an Element of Eternal Light hanging around your neck. [Riley looks down at the moon pendant] Faylin: Although you Earthians have barely gotten past your own moon, you are part of the EternalVerse, the biggest Galaxy Cluster in this part of the universe. Long ago, there were two artifacts of incredible power—the Eternal Light and Eternal Darkness. No one knows how it happened, but they were too powerful, and could too easily fall into the wrong hands, so they were each split into three artifacts of lesser power. These artifacts were scattered across the EternalVerse. [images end] Faylin: And one appears to have landed here on Earth, seeing as you happen to be in possession of the Eternal Moon. As thus, it is connected to you. You can master its powers, and you are its Guardian. This is a great responsibility. Kirian: The Light Hunters are a group of renegades attempting to get all of the Elements of Light in their possession. Their leader, the Crimson Ghost, will stop at NOTHING to get her hands on them. I’m an officer of the Intergalactic Council, the government, who was sent to protect you. (Explanatory, attempting to convince Riley of the depth of the situation) [images end] Kirian: We’d hoped you would be safe here, in such a remote star system, but apparently, they’ve found you. Now, you’ll be going to the safest place there is. Kalinth. (worried, but trying to hide it) [Riley looks at Faylin] Riley: Just one question (now less terrified and more in shock) [Faylin nods] Riley: Who ARE you? (Still in shock)
