It was the weekend, which meant you had another performance tonight. It was a big one too. You heard your classmates talking about going to it. It started at eight but you had to be there at seven so you could practice. Taking a quick shower, you changed into a white t-shirt, acid washed blue overalls, red high tops and black fingerless gloves. Around six-thirty, you quietly walked out of your room and towards the balcony. Iru's voice could be heard from his room and you could hear what he said more clearly. "Tonight is when it happens? Alright, I'll be in position shortly." You took a few minutes to process what he just said. Was he planning to do something tonight? Shaking your head, you climbed off the balcony and slid down a pole to the grass. Slipping on your mask, You couldn't think about that when you had a performance to get to. Running through town, you made it to the concert hall right at seven. Your dressing room was filled with roses from the staff and some water bottles. Sighing, you sat down and plucked the strings of a guitar that was waiting for you. After tuning it, you went through a couple of your songs, singing softly so no one could hear. The truth is, the reason you stayed so quiet was because of your quirk. It was called Siren. Whenever you sing, people become "brainwashed" and can't really think for themselves, like how sirens used their voices to lure fishermen and their boats towards rocks, which made them sink. The trouble with it is that it affects people with your speech too. "Two minutes!" Someone said from the other side of the door, startling you out of your thoughts. Standing, you walked out of the dressing room and peeked out form behind the curtains. It was a large crowd, buzzing with excitement. You took slow deep breaths in and out to calm your nerves. "One minute!" A nearby stagehand shouted. Adjusting your grip on your guitar, you counted the seconds for stepping out on stage. Right as you were about to start, the lights went out.
I've actually wrote these a couple weeks in advance. Kind of glad I did heh Part 6: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/597736537/ Part 8:
