closed, sorry! Toe Jam 5 is a series of game/art jams in the format of an advent calendar. (Nov 22 - Dec 19 2021) It is open to anyone who wants to join. @PokeNinjaGuy and I (@h0rnet15) will announce a theme each day in the studio. Follow the prompt, and link your finished project in the studio when finished! https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/27499747/ Weekdays will be art contests, and weekends will be game contests! move the snowman with arrows, a/d, or clicking (mobile) Q&A: Q: Am I too late to join? A: Nope! until the end of the jam, you can submit entries. Enter as many or few days as you want, just make sure to enter based on the day's theme. Q: What specifically does the theme mean? Would ___ fit the theme? A: Interpret the theme however you see most fit! As long as you are inspired by the theme and could give a reason of how it is related to the game, we'll take it Q: Someone else is doing my idea - what should I do? A: Go ahead and stick with your original plan. There's nothing wrong with two people coming up with the same idea - it happens every jam. Q: Are there any requirements or anything I have to do to sign up? A: Nope! Just make a game based on the theme once the Jam starts. Just link it in the studio, or make your entry a remix of this project. Q: Do I need to make my own music/art too? A: No. You can use art, music, and even code assets under the condition that you credit their original creators. Q: Does it need to be pixel art? A: Nope, work in any art style you like. I simply used pixel art for the announcement because I feel most comfortable working with that style. Q: Can we make teams A: Teams are allowed, but because each theme will last only 1 or 2 days, it may be difficult to finish as a group. Q: Can I enter two projects? A: You may enter as many or as few days as you want, but you may only have one entry per theme. Q: Can I enter off of scratch via gamejolt, itch, or through a forkphorus/turbowarp link? A: Sorry, but no. All projects must be entered through Scratch. Q: What time zone? A: Go off of whatever time zone you want. We won't take entries that are way late, but we won't cut you off for being just an hour or two past midnight. Q: What will we be judged on? A: Don't really have a rubric but, games will be judged on: fun, looks/sounds, effort, and creativity. Art will be judged on: overall looks, color scheme, creativity, and effort. Don't overthink it too much though. Q: Will there be a prize? A: Winners from each day will be featured in the results project. Ask me more questions in the comments if you have some!
