PS : My dumb butt somehow wrote April instead of sometime in January for one of the slides? How did I manage that, I do not know, but I meant January xDD *how did i not release that after rereading it multiple times* PSS : Sign-ups close on the 10th of January HST (Hawaiian Standard Time) Hey guys! It's been a little while, but with more free time on my hands and people asking me about it I decided it was time to have another session of Camp Pinelake! Now, without further ado... THE CAMP PINELAKE LEADER APPLICATIONS! *crowd claps and cheers like this is the best thing that has (and will) ever happened to them* *announcer voice* Thank you, thank you! Please quiet down so I may explain. {}{}{} What is 'Camp Pinelake?' Camp Pinelake is a tri-annual camp that happens during the months of October, February, and June (normally, but we're hosting this one in February due to some timing issues on my part). Here we help readers and writers challenge themselves. After all, good writers must read and readers probably know a thing or two about a good book. Here we mix the two and work on both! Each day we work on new challenges to earn points for your cabin and you create a page goal for the number of pages you want to read and a word goal for the number words you want to write during the duration of camp. Don't worry about being super active, you can be on for a few minutes or a few hours! It's up to you. {}{}{} How was Camp Pinelake created? It started with @Jadedskies (Who is now inactive) and me (@Scituate). We had a cool idea for a reading and writing camp. So we worked on it and it became a reality. During our first session, Jade left Scratch, all the counselors became inactive and we flopped. I learned how to fix these mistakes after attending SWC and SRC. In our second session, we had some rough spots, but it went out pretty well overall and our third one went pretty great! I now know how to get reliable people, plan ahead, and keep everything running smoothly. I can't wait to see what this session brings to the table! {}{}{} What does a 'leader' do? A leader runs their cabin, by making a description, adding their campers word/pages, creating an in-cabin point system, etc. Then in the main cabin, they help change the dailies, weeklies, change each cabins' point total, etc. {}{}{} How do I become a leader? To become a leader remix this project, and answer the questions in the slides by December 27th. (OKAY GUYS- THIS DATE WILL MOST LIKELY BE EXTENDED FOR CO LEADERS. Be realistic, do I feel like advertising this before camper sign-ups come out?). Then, share your application for me to review and I will let you know if you are chosen to be a leader for our February session! <33 {}{}{} PLEASE ASK ME QUESTIONS !!! (and tell me about all the spelling errors i missed and stupid mistakes i made while creating this project) I WILL FIX THEM IF SOMEBODY TELLS ME. {}{}{} Credits - Thanks to and / for creating Camp Pinelake. Thanks to / for hosting sessions 1, 2, & 3 of Camp Pinelake. Thanks to SWC and SRC for giving some ideas to camp although the original idea was ours alone. {}{}{}
