Cat Steel Dynamics Hoplite-II MBT is built based on the chassis of the previous Hoplite MBT, but it has a new turret. Hoplite 2 sports the same 125mm CSD smoothbore cannon+12.7mm coaxial MG, but the 7.62mm mounted MG has been replaced by a remote-controlled 12.7mm. The Hoplite 2 features modular armor, meaning that damaged parts can be easily replaced on the field, and an improved fire control computer for a much shorter reaction time. The state of the art active protection system now covers the entire tank. The smokescreen system can deploy within a fraction of a second, and can cover 360 degrees around the tank to prevent attacks from guided weapons.
