He's made all of his wealth on gambling and betting at casinos and bars. Despite the smile and overall friendly vibe, he is a serious opponent to many. He can be very cold-blooded when playing and will try to cheat whenever he can. He lives by the line,"It's not cheating if you aren't caught" which is a line that D'arby tells the Joestars and crew in the episode "D'arby the Gambler Part 1" (JJBA).
