He desired an armor which could guard him against all harm, and enhance his power. Knowing of no earthly craftsmen he could rely on, he tasked the Devourer of Gods to scour the cosmos to find an answer. A year passed, before the serpent brought news of an alien planet infested by automata, surely the work of an unparalleled smith. The Devourer seemed to have been struck by a sense of wonder, which was hitherto unheard of due to its ego. Yharim left at once. Upon reaching the surface of the planet, Yharim immediately knew why the Devourer had chosen this place. The sky was dark with ashen smog and monsters of metal roamed its surface, which was derelict and devoid of anything that could be considered life. Massive contraptions lay about like the fossils of dragons, belching black smoke, and automatons of creatures he had never seen before clattered their way across the land. The Devourer had brought him to a specific place. Seemingly the protrusion of a bunker, a building standing out in the barren wasteland. Yharim tore away the door, gazing at a dark well which led into the earth. He warned the Devourer to remain on the planet, but the idea of deserting, leaving without first discovering the reason behind it all never crossed the serpent’s mind. Deep within the labyrinth, Yharim heard the clanging of metal like a heartbeat. Cutting through the walls, he made his way to the source. A towering metal man. Draedon sat by a forge, his hands flying over wires and tools. Auto-hammers rang against red hot metal around him. He acknowledged Yharim only by the lifting of a visor, and with a crackling voice, unmaintained, perhaps because it had never seen use. The language he spoke, Yharim did not know, but upon expressing that confusion, Draedon clicked and used a more familiar tongue. "Knowledge of your planet and its people has been recorded within my memories. What do you seek here?" "I require your services. I want armor which would guard me from all harm." "Is your planet not kept safe by its dragons?" "Your information is old. Very old. We live in warring times. If you desire something I can provide it. All I want are your services." "If you can provide me with resources and a directive, I will create all you need." And that was that. Yharim did not care for the story behind the ruined planet, and Draedon did not care for Yharim’s grim resolve, nor why he sought such armor. This interaction established the relationship the Tyrant would have with his smith until the day his kingdom fell.
