John and his twin brother James were rolled out of GE's shops as two of the first ET44AC demonstrators, and promptly went to work on Union Pacific rails. They both are equipped with K1L13 "K3HL" horns unique to them and their demonstrator siblings, some of VIA Rail's F40PHs, and a lone KCS ES44AC. Fun fact #1: John and James were named after two of Jesus Christ's followers in the Bible. Naturally because of this, John and James are deeply devoted to their religion. Fun fact #2: On one of their first runs, the ZMQLC from Mesquite (Near Dallas) to Los Angeles' LATC, I saw John and James with John leading just outside Santo, Texas.
