Foxwing and Patchkit's story: Foxwing, Ambercall's twin, was due to give birth one day, then three kits were born. She named them Featherkit, Wolfkit, and Patchkit. Unfortunately, only Wolfkit and Featherkit were healthy, and as for Patchkit... he was sadly stillborn. Foxwing was devastated and cried through the hungry squeals of her remaining children. And 3 moons later, she was diagnosed with depression. So she stayed in the medicine cat's den until her kits got their apprentices ceremony, but she sadly missed most of it. Rowanstar suggested she retires to the elder den, but she refused and said, if I can hunt, I will stay a warrior. The leader accepted. Foxwing sighs and stalks a vole, but then, a shining spirit flashed in the corner of her eye. She turns around and snarls, only to find her dead kit's ghost standing before her. She stops and laid down, balls of tears welling up in her eyes as she looks at Patchkit. Patchkit smiles and runs up to his mother to nuzzle up to Foxwing. Her teardrops fell on him and slipped on the forest floor softly in joy to see her dear son once again. they leaned on each other until it was time to leave. She returned with no prey, but a cure of her depression. And from that day forward, she knew that Patchkit would always be by her side, no matter what happens.
