Hiya! I saw this awesome DTA and had to enter! Cosmic Cow is so cute, this was a really fun challenge. :) I made two shaded artworks, some chibis, and a full scene of them. Biography: Name: Zena Pronouns: she/they Likes: Ice cream, nature sounds, waterfalls, trees. Dislikes: yelling, alarms, spicy food, neon colors. Secret They Don't Want Anyone to Know: Zena is an alien that fell to earth but is terrible at hiding it. Backstory: Zena comes from a galaxy in another space, another time... and on her home planet, a mysterious pillar of ice grants those it deems worthy wings, everlasting life, and arcane powers. The beings that live on this planet have a tradition that every one hundred years, anyone of age can attempt to climb the spire. But only one will be able to come down from the spire, flying on newly granted wings. And it has always been that this soul becomes the new ruler of the planet, and the others are left to perish. Zena had never had any interest in climbing the spire, but her best friend, Westlyn, decided to join the challenge. Knowing that only the chosen one can fly down from the tower, and fearing for their friend's life, Zena tried desperately to get Westlyn to stop. But before Zena knew it, she was thrown into the mix as well. Zena tried to leave, but could not get down from the tower of ice once they had begun to climb it. Before she knew it, she had ascended the spire, where she watched blue wings and a magic granting pendant slowly materialize onto her. Terrified of the power they had never wanted, Zena grabbed her friend and get to the bottom. But she had broken a fundamental rule by saving Westlyn. The Guard planned to arrest Zena and hold her prisoner until her sentence was over and she could reign as the monarch of the planet. But Zena didn't want to be any type of ruler at all. So Zena fled, far into the outer reaches of the universe, and went into hiding on earth. She used a scarf to hide her magic pendant and tried to relax. But she has never been able to completely shake off her fear of being discovered. And so, with one ear always on alert, you can find Zena on the earth's surface, taking in its pleasures.
