DISCLAIMER: I'd like to make one thing clear. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE ORIGINAL PROJECT OR ITS CREATOR. It's an excellent project. I'm sure it's extremely helpful to some people. And some of the problems I have with it are just pet peeves, so you have no obligation to take them seriously and neither does the creator of the original. That said, the project still made me kind of mad. It's more that it assumes that this advice is one-size-fits-all that gets me. I don't know if it was meant to come across like that, but that's how I interpreted it. (In other words: that interpretation is probably my fault, not that of the creator.) More than that- although the project acknowledges that early rising doesn't come easily to some people, it still appears to support the school of thought that everyone should learn otherwise. Us night owls frequently get accused of being unhealthy or lazy. The latter one is especially infuriating. Just because we don't get much done in the morning, doesn't make us lazy. We might as well call early risers lazy for not doing as much as we do in the evenings, because they're too busy sleeping so they can be productive in the morning. We sleep in the morning so we can be productive in the evening. It's how we operate. I don't have anything against either lifestyle. I want to make that clear. I just want to make a case for late risers, explain why we are the way we are, incidentally clear up why some of these tips don't work for everyone, sort of thing. No tips work for everyone. We're all unique. My own tips, where I could be bothered inserting them, probably won't work for everyone. Look, I just wanted to present a side of this topic that doesn't often get heard, because too many night owls humbly accept what the 'getting up is good for everyone and sleeping in should stop now' mob throw in their faces, even if they don't do anything about it. Also excuse me if I go off on a tangent about some related issue at any point. I couldn't help myself. Further content inside, obviously.
I mentioned the 'creator of the original' a few times. See full caps paragraph at end of notes and credits for an explanation. Arrow keys, click screen or space to advance. I'm taking the opportunity to issue another disclaimer, this one directed at the creator of the original in case my other disclaimers didn't already make this clear. I'm not trying to challenge your view, or offend you, or make your project look bad, or anything like that. This is kind of a mix of constructive criticism, tips for night owls, and explaining the other side of this. If anything about this project comes across as hurtful anyway, let me know and I'll remove or rephrase the offending part. Also there is the possibility that I am completely wrong about some of what I said here, in which case I apologise. Credits: Full credit to an anonymous person for the original project. THIS IS BECAUSE THE DANGER OF THIS PERSON'S FEELINGS BEING HURT BY SUCH A REMIX, EVEN WITH THREE DISCLAIMERS, WAS TOO HIGH. THIS WAY I AM NOT SHOVING MY VIEWS IN THEIR FACE. IF YOU THINK I OUGHT TO PROVIDE A LINK TO THE ORIGINAL, OR TELL THE CREATOR OF THE ORIGINAL ABOUT IT, LET ME KNOW AND I SHALL DO SO.
