this is more of a descriptive event rather than one with talking and communication and whatnot so don't feel surprised by barely any talking here *wheeze* — — — I stood at the edge of the shimmering lake surrounded by metallic blue bushes and tall bluegrass. Smooth as glass, not even the wind disturbed the silvery surface of the water under the white moonlight. I looked up at the sky, the full moon's brightness not as great as the sun's. Stars were scattered throughout the dark navy blue of the sky, some clouds drifting off in the distance. I breathed in the scent of the air. It had recently rained and the fresh, watery smell still hung in the air. It was quite chilly, but luckily not too cold to freeze anything. My scales were still slightly lifted upwards with the chills, though. Looking down at the surface of the water again, the stars reflected off the surface, the moonlight perfectly shining in the middle of the lake. A few minutes passed before a ripple spread across the water from the area where the light shone, disrupting the reflection and making everything waver. Finally, after hours of waiting, she's finally responded. A shaky breath in, another one out. I knew what was coming, and it wasn't going to be easy. However, I'll hold my ground no matter what she throws at me. I need to talk to this beast. After a few moments, the water rippled again, and another time soon after. A white, slithering body and tail of a serpent-like creature was sliding in and out of the water gracefully, making barely a ripple in the water. As she swam closer and started to rise out of the water, the water separated to reveal her head, then neck and chest to her torso, until finally her whole body had arisen. Her long, white and dark cyan body was draped in a silky pale teal dress with transparent veils as the veils were dotted with glittery patterns of stars. Silver jewelry adorned as her headdress and her waist with opals, aquamarine and blue topaz gemstones with blue akoya pearls and tiny white shells. A few white, silver and metallic blue scales were patterned on the veils. But underneath all that masking of beauty, I could see her dark blue, starry eyes holding an irreversible regret and mourning. She stood on the surface of the water, her veiled arms drifting down by her sides. Her tail drifted down behind her and slithered on the water as she started to walk to the bank, disturbing the water very little with graceful movements. I held my ground and took a deep inhale and exhaled slowly as she moved forward, holding my gaze with her own calmly. A magnificent creature. But a monster that drowns her victims to escape her own self. I've seen what damage she can do, the glint still shines in her eyes. That shine of loathing and vengeance. To release it on the ones who betrayed her. Her family. And I was part of it. "Episorila," I croaked. It hurt to talk, my deep voice sounded like grainy sandpaper rubbing together and my throat was sore with years of deformity. However, I staggered to get down on one knee and dip my head in respect. "Doilion... What are you coming for?" she seethed, narrowing her eyes and hissing. "It better not be the 'O woe is me' excuse again, you know you're stuck with that Void and nobody can help you." I sighed. Of course the actual reasoning for what happened would be covered by her blindly stubborn self. But, I did not wish to aggravate the situation and make it worse than it already is. The rest of my family already abhors me, and I don't want to trifle them. Especially if... Nevermind. "I don't a-ask... much o-of.. you... Please don't i-immediately... turn away and abando-" "I never abandoned anyone, brother," Episorila sharply said, swiveling around while splashing water onto me as I raised my arms up in defense. She pinned me down with a vicious death glare. "If you want my help, which is highly unlikely to happen, I suggest you think before you speak." "Just l-listen... to me..." She narrowed her eyes, clearly distrustful and suspicious. However, she stood firmly, waiting begrudgingly. — — — that's all for now, folks (yes this is fairly old) need to figure out how to seque it into the next thing pfff
