“Dawn!” A small orange duck was saying “Dawn! Wake Up!” Dawn smiled as she sat in a field full of blue grass, and a green sky. “Hey little ducky.” Dawn said, patting it. “I’m not asleep!” She tells the duck, laughing. “DAWN! I NEED YOU TO WAKE UP!” The duck yells. “C’MON!” Dawn covers her ears as the duckling grows into a giant monster. “WAKE UP” it bellows, as it starts chasing dawn. “DAWN!!” It says again, sounding oddly like July… the monster picks her up, and drops her in in a nearby lake. Dawn sat up. “WHY DID YOU TRY TO DROWN ME??!!!” Dawn yelled. July jolted back, startled. “I didn’t. That was Eve. Don’t hurt me!” He said, panicked. Dawn felt confused. “Eve?” Her eyes landed on a girl with a cat’s tail, and tiger ears. “Her?” July nodded. Eve didn’t even glance up. Dawn scanned the crowd. Emilie, Eve, Holly, July, Star, and her. “Where’s Dusk?” She asked. Star stepped up. “She chose to go with a different group… I’m sorry.” Dawn’s eyes widened. “She left me?” Star nodded, looking down. “I-“ Dawn started crying. “We’ve been friends since we were born.. she doesn’t know it, but we’re half sisters. We shared the same birthday.. And she willingly left me. I get it though. She needed to help a different group. Maybe I’ll see her again sometime… “ Dawn trailed off. “So is there anyone else with us?” Star shook her head. “I don’t think so. I did hear something in the trees, but I thinks its just an animal.” Suddenly, a girl with pinkish orange hair, wolf ears, and a wolf tail burst through the trees. “My name is Mira, I’m NOT and animal!” She said. Holly screamed, Star looked up, July jumped, Emilie bared her teeth, and Eve didn’t even look up. Dawn’s eyes widened, but she sat still. “Mira?” Dawn asked. “I’m sorry about my friend, she didn’t see you. Are you looking for a place to hide from the scientists?” Mira shook her head. “No, the scientists don’t know I exist. I’m planning to hurt everyone who played a part in my pack’s death.” Mira said, after growling at Emilie. “I wasn’t even going to bother you, until little assumer here called me an animal.” Mira glared at Star. “But now I guess I might as well tag along with you guys. I mean, I don’t know who killed my pack, but they aren’t around here, they took my cousin, and my cousin hasn’t been here recently. I can’t smell him.” Dawn found herself nodding. Eve cut in. “How do we know she’s not a spy?” Eve said to Dawn. “You can’t just invite everyone we see to join us!” Mira glared at Eve. “I do not have a gender. Yes, I am genetically female, but I am non-binary.” Mira said to Eve, then turned back to Dawn. “You have many friends that just assume things. It’s kinda rude.” Mira said, before sitting down next to Dawn. “So, where are we going?”
