my first endless runner game! use W, space, or the up arrow key to jump. when the power bar is full press p or right arrow key to boost forward! note: for the high score to work, you must be signed in and a scratcher.
devlog: 3/17/22 added a wholenew system for the button rotation. before it was buggy and confusing, now it's smooth and efficient. 2/18/22 HUGE update! the old building background system was scrapped for a totally new multi-layered scrolling background! the entire theme of the game has changed from a red static background to a blue sky and dynamic scrolling background. hope you like it! thanks to @griffpatch for the tutorial. the obstacles look nicer and now scroll off the screen properly. also added an item that slows you down. fixed a bug where the coins spawned while in menu. 2/16/22 added new ground and air obstacle, as well as a new coin generation pattern. this should make the game look more interesting. 2/8/22 added sound effects including a footstep sound, a sound for the powerup, and a sound for when you jump. 1/28/22 added another background building to spice up the scenery. made some terrain generation and background generation bug fixes and improvements as well. also reset the high score because the previous high score was from an earlier version. 1/21/22 coins no longer give score, but they power a bar at the top of the screen. when that bar is full for eighty coins, you can press p to do a super-boost forward! 1/11/22 numerous bug fixes. the coins give score, which means that they at least do something. 1/10/22 randomly generated coins now spawn! they don't have any purpose yet, but I am thinking of implementing a shop soon. also added an extra background building. 1/3/22 lava pits actually work now 1/2/22 the obstacles now speed up as you progress in the game, and there is a lava pit that spawns after 125 seconds. 12/10/21 first release! I finally have a functional game where obstacles come at you, and you try not to get pushed into the wall. also have a powerup, a scrolling background and a point system with a high score. youre still reading this?
