Chapter 2 Winter woke one morning about a month later with a yawn and went out for a walk, she was still trying to figure out what the mark on Blaze’s shoulders meant. She was listening to the birds song when suddenly she felt a hot, searing pain on her back, fire! She jumped and kicked as she ran towards the river and leaped in, it went out and she got out to see a surprise, Blaze was near where the scorched ground was, her black ear tips had little adorable fires on them as did her ash black paws, Winter was amazed, her daughter was a Fire Paw! “Sprint! Come quick!” She yelled, Sprint saw Blaze and looked bewildered “A Fire Paw?!” He yelped. Blaze turned to look as the fires seemed to vanish from Blaze she trotted over to her mother and yipped happily. Winter sighed and looked at her back, her fur was missing in some areas and others were black but she would be ok. Now she knew what the mark meant at least, her daughter was a Fire Paw but she still had this feeling that there was something bigger, even her own mother, Frost didn’t have a mark to show her power, she just had them, ~I get answers but then even more questions!~ Winter thought frustratedly.
