Over the years, a tale has been told. It speaks of a great hero, more powerful than the rest of his kind, that will stop the evil growing inside... This tale was put inside the LEGENDARY One Book, a powerful resource used by the Toad Monks. The Toad Monks used their newfound knowledge to create a perfect, new world... One day in 1981, a baby named MARIO was born alongside his twin LUIGI. The two twins were seperated and Luigi was captured by Kamek the Majikoopa. The powerful sorcerer, king of the Koopas, nearly defeated Mario, who, with the help of a dinosaur named Yoshi, saved the world. Mario went home safely, and grew up living a happy life, having no memory of the battles he had partaken in. After trying himself out for several jobs, Mario settles in as a plumber in the Kanako Kingdom, his homeland. One day, Mario discovers a massive pipe while clearing out a drainage ditch with Luigi. Hearing screams coming from inside the pipe, Luigi hops in. Mario hops in directly after to rescue Luigi, but falls from a 300-metre drop and passes out. Mario wakes up in the Mushroom Kingdom, with Luigi nowhere to be seen. Mario walks across a path and comes across a second pipe and hops in, landing outside a nearby castle. Outside it, Mario meets a person named Toadsworth. Taking one look at Mario's face, Toadsworth guides Mario into the castle. Mario notices Toadsworth is carrying a suspicious book, and when he mentions it, Toadsworth gives up trying to hide it's secrets. "This book is a prophecy book." Toadsworth said. "It spoke of you ages ago and now that I've met you...well...you seem to be the hero it described." Mario, surprised, enters the castle and is greeted by a beautiful woman. "I am Princess Peach," she says. "I am here to oversee you as you become a true hero. Gain the book and unlock it's secrets." SMASH!!! Suddenly, a massive turtle appears. "I AM BOWSER" he says. "THIS BOOK IS NOW PROPERTY OF THE KOOPA KINGDOM. I HAVE BEEN TASKED BY KAMEK THE MAJIKOOPA TO CAPTURE IT!" Bowser steals the book and also Princess Peach. Before he leaves, he suddenly stops. "JUST BEFORE I GO, MAY I SAY SOMETHING? YOU LOOK LIKE A FELLOW I MET A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO. I THINK HIS NAME WAS LUIGI OR SOMETHING. WORE A GREEN HAT AND THESE OUT-OF-STYLE OVERALLS. I CAPTURED HIM TOO...IT APPEARS HE WAS SCREAMING OUT YOUR NAME, SO I SUPPOSE YOU WANT TO GET HIM BACK...COME AND GET ME!" Thus, a new adventure begins for the almighty Mario...
