Hi everyone, this is my entry for the monochrome design by @foxfood. 1. Scene 2. Plain background Aspen // they/them // husky puppy After they were separated from their pack, Aspen had been forced to fend for himself in the wilderness. They injured their left eye while learning to hunt, so their vision is greatly impaired. They rely on a keen sense of hearing to find their way around the world, but life for Aspen will never be similar to that of any other wolf’s. Cold. That was my first thought when I woke up. Although the leaves haven’t turned, like my elders said they would, the chill of winter approaches. It won’t be long until it’s too hard to find food. I don’t know whether I can find enough to last me through the winter. I’d never learned to hunt. After I injured my left eye, it became difficult to see anything. My elders would always trek to the forest for me, returning with whatever game they could find. Now, I’ve struggled to be stealthy enough to catch anything. I’ve been forced to live on rodents and insects and small animals like that. Although they’ve been plentiful so far, who knows what will happen after the fields turn white with snow.
