This really do be screaming retro cartoon advertisments, though. ============ Here's some dumb backstory behind the piece. SO. @GameGirlX (my favorite artist on Scratch, and possibly of all time) created this cool set of characters. And I noticed that Emir, the main one, was getting a TON of attention. There is an Emir Supremacy art collection, an Emir Supremacy animation meme, and even a fanclub dedicated to the cool boi. BUT WHO WAS LEFT IN THE SHADOWS? CATELINE. Emir's INSANELY COOL mom. And I just felt a little sad. BECAUSE DUDE. Look at this AMAZING DESIGN. Look at how PRETTY it is. Where's the fanclub for the antagonist? She's cool and needs more attention >:D SO being the weirdo that I am. I DECIDED TO MAKE FANART OF THE COOL GIRL. And according to GGX, I'm the first random scratcher to draw her, let alone in her modern outfit. So yeah. EXPECT MORE FANART SOON. I HAVE FALLEN DOWN THE EMIR AND CATELINE RABBIT HOLE. ============ About the actual art piece, I wanted the image to be quite harsh, with sharp edges, black lineart, cell shading (with crosshatching :0) and a minimal amount of the sketchy blended shading I like to do. Since a lot of my art goes for a soft look, this was quite hard to do! But Cateline was the perfect character for this. :D To add to the harshness, I did some really bright highlights that gave everything a super shiny look. I like that a lot! To end it all I added a white outline and some weird lines that pull the background and the character together :P I dunno the background is rushed :') ANYWAYS enough rambling. I hope you like it GGX! You inspire me A LOT and fanart was simply a necessity with how much happiness your art makes me feel. It's such a unique style that has only improved from the many months I have been viewing your art through many accounts. Thank youuu <3
