!!THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I WROTE RECENTLY, I WROTE IT IN SECOND GRADE!! The accident Chapter 1- What Happened I stared at the variety of flowers in the backyard. Petunias, Tulips, Daisies, and my favorite, Roses. Each dewed with morning rain, blooming beautifully because it was spring. A hummingbird was sipping from the feeder. Then suddenly, a scary cooing started in the air, making me shiver. I turned around to go back into the house, my mom was probably worried about me. I took off my shoes as I entered the house, I saw my little brothers, Will and Johnson,(John for short) running around the green couch in the living room. I sighed and went over to the kitchen to help mom cook supper. I went into the kitchen, my mom was running around the kitchen, searching for something. After a little she asked me, “Kelty? Do you know where the garlic went?” I shrugged,”Last time I saw it, you were making Garlic Chicken.” Mom sighed, grabbing the keys, then paused. “Kelty? Can you go and get some garlic from the store?” “Yeah.” I replied. I grabbed the keys, put on my shoes, and went out to the garage. The gray and white tile was hard, loose rubble was crunching under my feet . I hopped into our gray jeep, and put the keys in. The car revved loudly. I carefully backed out of the driveway, I had only gotten my driver’s license last year. I went down to main street, the store was on West 500. The red light flashed, but I was so intent on my direction, I didn’t notice it. I kept driving, a car was passing by and hit me. My airbag expanded as I jumped forward, glass shattered in my face, lights flashed, the last thing I saw was in front of me, then I passed out. When I woke up, I was in the hospital. Doctors scurried around me, bandages were on my leg. My mom was looking worried. What happened? I thought. Then it hit me, I had gotten in a car crash. I had never thought this would ever happen in my life, when I was a little girl, I promised my mom I would be careful while driving. I had broken that promise. Chapter 2- How It Ended Up After about a week, I was released from the hospital permanently. My arm was still in a cast. Lots of people in my class were bugging me. Such as Tony, everyday when I came to school, he treated me like a baby because I couldn’t drive a car without crashing. The other horrible thing was that I had been removed from my drivers license. The only person who treated my normally was my teacher, Mrs. Gaber. She still gave me the same homework, worksheets, and treatment as anyone else. My mom was just happy that I hadn’t died, I was even more happy than her. My brothers were just annoying as always, except even more. When I went to school that day, my teacher gave out our reports. “Try harder next time.” my teacher said to me. I stared at my paper, I couldn’t believe what I saw. I had gotten a D! When I got home, I showed my report to mom. “What’s this?” she asked. “My report.” I replied. Mom shook her head, “I expected more from you than this.” “I’m sorry.” I said. I turned around. I looked at the floor as I climbed the wooden stairs up to my bedroom. As I reached my room, I collapsed on my purple bed. Hugged my stuffed bear, and cried. I hoped it all would end and I would have a normal life again. My mom came up the stairs and sat by me. “I want it all to end!” I wailed. “It’s going to be okay, because I love you.” She hugged me. And it was true. THE END
