=================Chapter=One================== Smolder swooped down to the palace. Thorn was by his side. 'Oh, she is so cute' Smolder thought. They landed at the courtyard. Thorn landed beside him, their wings touching. Smolder turned his head, so Thorn couldn't see how his face was so pink that he looked part RainWing. "Oh boy, that was another boring diplomatic meeting," Thorn said, stretching out her wings. Smolder nodded. "Well, I gave to get back to boring queen stuff," Thorn swooped up to her room window. smolder watched her go. 'Come on Smolder. think of a way that might get her to like you back,' Smolder thought. then an idea bit him like a dragonbite viper. It was later that night and Thorn was busy trying to do queen stuff, (Smolder really doesn't know what queen stuff.) he entered her room and sat down next to her. "Hey there, Queen Thorn," he said. "Hello Smolder," Thorn said. 'Alright Smolder, time to launch your plan' Smolder thought. Smolder reached out his wing and brushed Thorn's. Thorn looked at him, blush rising from her cheeks. She got closer to Smolder and leaned into his side. Smolder twined his tail around Thorn's. Smolder fell asleep with thorn by his side.
