Chapter 22 I can’t stay funny anymore I woke up. My whole body was parylized and in pain. I was laying down by myself in the woods, and I couldn’t move. I heard a wolf snarling and growling. In an un-human voice the wolf snarled “Ready for it to stop?” and came running at me. It’s thick and coarse black fur blowing in the wind. It got closer and closer, but I still couldn’t move to run away. Suddenly, the wolf yelped and fell to the side. Blood pooling under its side. I was able to get a closer look. A long and thin knife was sticking out of the wolves side. I was finally able to get up. A tall being stood in front of me,wearing a cloak, and holding more knives. My first reaction was to run in the other way to escape. They quickly reached out their hand. Afraid that they would do something to me, I started running. They called after me and said “No it’s ok! I killed the wolf! I am not here to hurt you!” Their voice was sweet and soft. Another analogy that doesn’t make sense, Their voice reminded me of a summer picnic on a grassy green hill just watching the fluffy clouds go by. I snapped back into reality. “Ok.” They came near me, and took off their hood. Underneath that hood they had fluffy white hair, and golden eyes with white flecks in them. On their right eye they had a deep and big scar, and it went all the way down to their cheek. “ Hello there, Rea. My name is Heather, and I am here to serve you.” “How… Do you know my name? Wait a minute? What is my name?” Heather laughed “Rea, come on. Don’t be silly” “Is my name Rea? That sounds kind of familiar.” “Yes, Rea. It is your name.” Their smile faded. “You really don’t remember, do you?” “It all burned away.” I replied “ I still feel it” “Oh….oh my” Heather replied in a solem, and almost silent voice. “Follow me, I will take you to my friends, and your friends should be there” “Ok. But how can I trust you?” I asked “ You can trust me, and I will prove it” Heather lifted their hand, and summoned a little bit of light, and it became a firework that exploded into tiny purple and blue sparkles. “Those are your favorite colors, right?” They asked “Yeah, I think” I said. “I just tried to regain some of your memory. And it seems it works.” the tall elf said. “Let’s go now” they continued
