***INSTRUCTIONS*** The aim of the puzzle is to find out which of the 8 weights shown is lighter than the others. You only need to use the scales twice. To do this you must use the scales then press the weigh button to see which side is lighter. To move a weight onto the scales, click on it then click on the side you want to move the weight. You can return the weight by clicking on it again. Once you have found out which is the lighter weight press the guess button and enter your answer. It is possible to do this puzzle only using the scales twice. ***Spoilers*** To get the answer only using the scales twice, start by placing three of the weights on one side and three on the other. You can then narrow it down to three of the weights if the scales move or two if they are both the same weight. Then simply weigh two of the three or just the two left and you will be able to find out which is the lightest.
