Lightning Moodboards for all the eight different elements in my book series that I'm developing. I spent literal days developing the magic system and figuring out what matchups each element would have and how they would fit when put together, and instead of going further and figuring out how to implement the system into the actual series, I chose to spend my free time today in school making moodboards for each element instead. :) When making these moodboards, I tried to incorporate other aspects of these elements along with their core. Like for plant, instead of just doing straight up trees for all the images, I included some close up shots of barks on the side and a line of pink flowers in the middle, or for lightning I included pictures of storm clouds since the two tend to go hand and hand, or for air I included feathers and vapors. For elements where this wasn't possible/as easy to pull off, I opted for some visual variety instead (with ice, I split the moodboard up by using five mostly white images and complementing it with 4 mostly blue images). There's probably some room for improvement, but overall I really like how these turned out.
