★ art progress (2021) ★

ahhh 2021 has been such a difficult year TnT but the pandemic and home-based learning (basically just learning from home) gave me lots of time to make art so without further ado, here is my art progress throughout the year :] 1 ★ hhh i have no idea what i was doing here D: this is chihiro from spirited away 2 ★ my mum pointed out that his hair is uneven at the back but somebody (aka ME) was too lazy to fix it o_o btw this is haku from spirited away 3 ★ katara from atla! the corner of her mouth is so pointy :/ 4 ★ sheeta from castle in the sky <3 i don't really like her face shape 5 ★ umi from from up on poppy hill :) another example of uneven hair hhhhh also, that chin is so BIG- 6 ★ this is where things get slightly better (i hope) this is kaori from your lie in april. i think her eyes are kind of far apart, but guess what, somebody was lazy to redo it! :] 7 ★ yes i do love studio ghibli :D this is ash¡taka (i just realised his name has a word in it that the bad word detector doesn't allow, the ¡ is meant to be an i) on his red elk, yakul :] they're from princess mononoke 8 ★ semi-realism! clove from the hunger games :) i kind of like how this turned out? although her ponytail kind of lacks texture, but i like her ear :D <3 9 ★ something i got off pinterest, i just redrew it in what was then my style. this is ok i guess? 10 ★ a really recent piece that i uh forgot to post :] her black shirt thing is kind of grainy, but that was because if i pressed any harder the colour would have been way darker :/ also, her hair is silver, and not because i was lazy to colour it :] the shadows don't really show up well though. my friend sent me a reference that i think she got from google? she wanted me to draw it so yeah :D the end! whew, i am so bad at writing descriptions :< and adding the watermarks took fifteen minutes of my life away because i checked and double-checked and scratch glitched while i was doing that and the page reloaded before i saved it- lmao but i am happy that i've made progress this year :] also, aren't square brackets awesome B]
