I entered for all 3. I would prefer to win Berry Dip, but the others are also great!! BACKSTORIES: Island: Isla- Isla, a mer-cat, was one day swimming through the ocean to go to the regular mer-cat holiday party. She accidentally got the address wrong, (20356 Corall Way instead of 20356 Coral Street) and ended up in a random cave of sorts. She found it belonged to the famous Wizard of the Iced Sea, Blizzard. Blizzard said that she could help Isla find her way to the holiday party IF she could do an experimentational spell on her. Isla agreed, because holiday parties are an important mer-cat tradition. Also, wizards are very kind, so what could go wrong? The spell gave her back legs instead of her tail, and that was NOT OKAY. Isla demanded that Blizzard should give her her tail back, or she would tell everyone her address (Wizards don't like getting begged for spells, so this is a very serious threat). Blizzard agreed, and instead gave her a tail along with her back legs and an island on her back, because she was apparently a TRAINING Wizard of the Iced Sea, and didn't know how to do the spell properly. Isla didn't want to be cast out (she was slightly dramatic about that), so she went to live on land. She found lots of friends, and ocassionally regrets her decision. One year later, however, at the same day of the holiday party, her family got hold of her and sent her a letter saying she was welcome back any time. Isla visits the parties all the time now (And devours all the food). Berry Dip: Strawberry- One day, a Berryfluff (a cat that was mixed with a berry after an incident that involved a fruit flavored soda and some electrical issues) was taking a walk in the rain. As she went along, she found a soda can. Strawberry (The Berryfluff, not the soda can) was immediately scared because of the soda incident a while back. She kicked it cautiously, and a genie appeared! After going over some misunderstandings (like how genies are in lamps and they appear after you rub it- how weird is that?!), she decided to make a wish. She wanted to be a normal cat again, because she got made fun of. The genie started to make her wish happen, until he accidentally stepped in some mud. Instead of making Strawberry a normal cat, he made her halfway to being a brown tabby and covered that in chocolate (because she was going to be covered in mud, except she's a Berryfluff, so chocolate). She got very mad and found she could flick an endless supply of chocolate at people, cats, and magical beings (aka the genie) with her tail. Strawberry decided she liked her chocolatey style, and everyone who disagreed would be eating chocolate five seconds later. Honey: Honeycomb- Honeycomb was a regular cat, once upon a time. She was a light orange tabby cat and had an obsession with eating honey. Her great aunt's sister's cousin twice removed's name was Honey, so the tabby cat was name Honeycomb instead. One day, she was watching the bees dance under the stars and saw a shooting star. Honeycomb said out loud, "I want to be able to fly, like the bees." The next day, she was a bee-cat! Honeycomb was VERY happy. Whoever wanted to become a bee-cat could also become a bee-cat if she touched them! The bee-cat population grew, and many cats began to fly! Soon, they made a very huge hive. Honeycomb was too young to be queen, so she became Princess Honeycomb. Every bee-cat pollinated more and more flowers, until a huge forest of flowers grew, the flowers as tall as trees! The part of the world with the bee-cats became a flower wonderland, and Honeycomb was the mastermind behind it. The shooting star, however, wasn't actually a shooting star. It was a magic cat who occasionally granted a cat's deepest desire. Honeycomb was lucky, and is very kind. Hope you liked the backstories! (Isla's is my favorite)
