Manhattan is an island in New York that is home to many tall skyscrapers, including the Empire State Building and the Chrystler Building. It is home to 1.7 million people, and is the smallest, yet most famous of the New York suburbs. It is so famous, in fact, that it is the urban core of the New York metro area.
