In the Camp of the most ancient Clan of Paw, which was located in a quite merry place between some Hills, with a silver River flowing through the Camp- Chaos had broken loose of its Holding. A wail was heard through the Camp, a wail that was sufficient to make even the highest songs of Canaries sound like a Whale's bellow from the depths of the Ocean. It was the wail of the esteemed Medicine cat, Coral-Light, daughter of the deceased Mapleleaf, may she rest in peace. The wail was not that of pain but of Panic, a shocked Panic. "The Kits of our Lady Inediblestick are arriving!" Yelled the Cat of Medicine. She called for her Apprentice, a most beautiful young Tabby by the name of Charmpaw. Charmpaw, upon hearing the joyous yet dangerous News, hurried off to her Den, in which lay the majestic Herbs of Healing. However, in her Panic, the molly had Forgotten which Herbs she was to bring to her mentor. This problem was solved with most haste; she simply gripped all of them between her teeth and padded with great Speed back to her Mentor. Quite unfortunately, the lady Coral-Light, who usually moved with grace rivaled only by that of a swan swimming on a lake of glass, was also in her own state of Panic, and as such, had quite forgotten which Herbs to use. By that point, the Kits had been born. There were a great number of them; half a score. The Cat of Medicine and her Apprentice had gone quite far over the edge at this and were now simply Stuffing the Herbs into the mouths of various Kits. At this, the Herbs had a strange Effect; Kits began to grow in size, bony spines or wings appearing on their Backs and Tails. The Cats of Medicine began to Wail; for they did not know what to do. Around that time, the great warrior Lunargem arrived back at camp from a long Hunting expedition. Upon hearing the Wails of the Cats of Medicine, she rushed to the Den of the Kits. Lunargem was a formidable warrior, yes, but she was also quite Intelligent and chose from the pile of Herbs a single one, a plant with white flowers and a rather nasty Scent. She proceeded to open the Mouths of each of the Kits and lay upon their tongues one flower of the Plant. Immediately, the Kits began to retch, vomiting up the Herbs they had eaten and losing their size, spikes, and Wings. A remark from a Kit later in life was, "That plant was like death laid upon my Taste-Buds, and I would be happy if I never had to eat it again." To this, Lunargem responded, "Be grateful, young one, for all I had given you was a bit of Yarrow. There are much worse things in Life." The End.
Sorry if anyone's pronouns are wrong. The Cool Fam. Imagining this being read with a British accent: I've been reading the Fellowship of the Ring XD Also for those of you who don't know the meaning of 'score', it's twenty.
