In this simulator, you must tend to the needs of a virtual bonsai! Bonsai are high maintence plants, but not to worry! This one tells you what it needs, when it needs it. But do be warned... ...too much of a good thing is a bad thing for plants! Congrats if you can find and translate the secret message. Game Guide: To begin, press the flag and select "Water" to trigger the seed to sprout. At the top of the screen, you can see the stats of your plant. When the Bonsai wants something, it will tell you one of the following phrases: THIRSTY!-it wants water (obvs) VERY HUNGRY!- Press feed. It needs fertiliser I NEED A HAIRCUT- It needs to be trimmed. Press prune BIGGER POT PLS- It needs more space, or at the very least a root trim to keep it small. Press repot. If you don't like the colour or the new pot, repot again untill you do. How long will yours live? CAUSES OF DEATH Water related deaths: -Thirst (Not enough water to support the plant) -Root rot (Too much water, so the roots couldn't breathe and rotted) Food related deaths: -Starvation (not enough nutrients) -Root burn (Too much nutrients- the roots overworked themselves trying to extracted it all, so the all died of exhaustion-) Pruning related deaths: -Under-puning (Bonsai becomes top-heavy, and falls over, causing the main stem to snap) NOTE In real life, over-pruning also kills, but that's not part of the simulator Pot Related deaths -Not enough space (Roots circle around and around in the same soils, and as they grow but don't have space to expand, they choke the other roots.) NOTE 2 Too big of a pot can also kill, but only because they dry out slower, and a plants roots aren't in the whole pot to take in the moister, leading to root rot. Also not in the game.
