Part One Starlette awoke with the top of the blanket in her mouth. "Ew!" She took it out of her mouth with a disgusted face. She looked down at the bed. It was a circular shape, with fluffy pillows and a beige blanket, the corners tucked under the bed. "Oh hey, you're awake!" Starlette turned, startled and curious to see who it was. It was the blue hedgehog, leaning against the doorway of the room. He came over to her bed and scratched the back of his neck. "I-uh...I hope the bed didn't bother you. Uh..anyway, I'm Sonic. What's yours?" "Starlette." Sonic widened his eyes and, though Starlette couldn't see it, had the tips of his ears and cheeks turn pink. Sonic shook his head vigorously. "Come on. Amy made breakfast. " Sonic said, smiling and extending a hand to Starlette. Starlette removed the blanket off her and moved to the side of the bed. She looked down to see the yellow bodysuit she had on with Eggman's sign on it. "Uh..."She wasn't sure what to do now, especially that she had bare feet. 'I can do this!' Starlette thought to herself encouragingly. She gently placed her foot down on the floor. She was walking! She then placed her other foot down, but then slipped, catching herself then tried walking over to Sonic. She moved her left leg too far and lost her balance in front of Sonic. "Ah!" Sonic quickly moved her arms to his shoulders and leaned back to stop her fall. Starlette looked up to see Sonic's face near her own, almost touching noses. Sonic blushed profoundly. "Sorry." Starlette said, not knowing what was going on. "It's okay..." Sonic said. He then chuckled. "Guess you can't walk yet, huh?" Starlette shook her head, releasing a cinnamon scent from her hair. Sonic did his best not to inhale its sweetness. Sonic helped Starlette go downstairs to the kitchen. Amy was busy making pancakes. "Oh! Good morning, Sonic!" Amy exclaimed, concentrated on the pancake making process with the spatula in hand. "I made pancakes! your fav- huh!?" Amy turned, all happy one minute and shocked the next, dropping the kitchen tool in the process. Sonic had a look of curiousness, followed Amy's gaze to Starlette, and finally got it. "Oh! Amy, this is Starlette! Me and Knuckles found her in Eggman's base." Sonic said, settling Starlette down in her chair. Sonic sat down next to her. "I see." Amy said, staring suspiciously at Starlette. "Pancakes are done!" Amy passed a fluffy, golden brown pancake to Sonic's plate. Amy passed Starlette's pancake over to her plate, staring at her suspiciously. Starlette looked down at the pancake that wasn't really like Sonic's. Her pancake was instead a black, charred hockey puck. Sonic, with a mouth half full of pancake, looked at Starlette's. "Here!" Sonic cut half of his pancake and rested it on Starlette's plate. Starlette looked at Sonic with grateful eyes and smiled. "Thanks, Sonic!" She then picked up a fork and ate it, but not before drowning it in maple syrup. "Your welcome!" He said, cheeks tinting pink. He rested his head on his hand with lovey-dovey eyes while watching Starlette stuff her face with pancake. "Grr!" Amy grumbled over the love scene. "Uh..Sonic! When your done with the goo-goo eyes, could you help me with the defenses outside?" said Knuckles, a gooey maple covered pancake in hand and leaning in the doorway to the kitchen. "oh!" Sonic snapped out of his trance and nodded to Knuckles. "Right, of course!" The blue hedgehog got out of his seat and walked out of the doorway with the echidna. "Uh.. hey, Ames! Could you give Starlette a tour of our base? That way, she could help us with Eggman!" Sonic shouted to Amy when he and Knuckles were outside. "My pleasure!" Amy shouted back. When the sound of zooming was far, Amy slammed her hands on the counter where Starlette was. "Okay! Listen here, Miss Cute-and-Perfect! I know our trying to worm your way to Sonic, but give up! Never gonna happen! Because I had MY eyes on him first! So don't even think about having some alone time with him! If so, I will crush you, ya got that?!" Starlette questioningly looked at Amy. "What? Me and Sonic?" She then laughed. " That's so funny!" Amy sputtered. "Don't play games with me, girl!"Starlette, instead of answering, scooted her chair out of the counter and hopped off.
Part Two "Welp, all done!" Starlette said, then skipped happily away. "Hey!" Amy screeched then followed the experiment out of the kitchen. "We're not finished here!" Starlette stopped in the living room, and with her appearance, caught the attention of various species in the room. Amy caught up to her, out of breath and angry. "Gotcha! You won't get away this time! I- " "Hey, Amy!" said Tails. "Aren't you going to introduce us?" Amy stopped mid-sentence. Nervous sweat dripped down her face. "Uh... This is Starlette, everybody!" Tails stepped up. "I'm Tails. That's Knuckles, Sticks, Blaze, Sonic..." Sonic waved to her, blushing in the process. Starlette waved back. "And Sliver." A silver hedgehog with tech- like gloves and boots turned to where the group was standing, and his eyes grew wide. ' Uh! W-who is that?!' Silver's face turned red as a tomato when he stared at Starlette. Silver turned away, blushing, and extended his hand. "H-hey. I'm Silver." "Hello, Silver! I'm Starlette!" Starlette took his hand and shook it gently. 'Gah! She shook my h-hand!' He thought excitedly. Amy, a few inches away from them, was about to reveal her hammer but then stopped. "C'mon Amy, just wait. She isn't a threat to me...yet. I just have to find a weak spot of hers. Watch out, Starlette. You have to try harder than that to win Sonic's heart. He's MINE.
