Never, ever, asked this in my entire life, but could someone please propose this to be featured or curated on the front page? I genuinely think that this project deserves it more than any of my other ones, and it would mean a lot if someone took the time to appreciate and share this to a wider range of audience to enjoy. If you couldn't do this, it's fine, I understand, but hearting and staring this project only takes away 1 second of your life but makes a world of difference for me. Every message of appreciation these days means so much more than you could possibly imagine, and I mean it. All artwork is original and I don't care whether you use it or not, but you must credit me somehow. Music: Fred Bouchel - Odin's Sword Click to zoom in Yes, I know it's almost New Year's and I should be making a project on New Year's, but I really felt motivated which is very rare. Project Reflection: Dragon: This project was way different than one that I may normally do, mainly because it included the dragon. Naturally, I started with that. But even the face took away hours of my time because I just couldn't get it right. Even now I have some regrets but overall I'm happy with how it turned out. Once I moved on to the body, I found it not easier to do than the head. I started off with a snakes body, but it looked absolutely strange the moment my pen touched the screen. So I made the dragon stand up with the back half of the body lying on the ground, and to do this I made the front half, which looked like a funny looking eggplant. The back was easy enough, and surprisingly it turned out about how I wanted it to be. I had an initial design for the wings where the front paws were attatched to it, but I quickly dumped it when I realized how horrible it looked. So I drew the wings by themselves. I'd say they were the ones that turned out the best out of all the body parts and I have absolutely no comments on it. The paws were mostly easy. Just a bit of 3d modeling and everything was all set. I am irritated by where the hind legs are positioned and the way a toe juts out on some of the legs like some extra mutated limb. The process of making it however was definitely shorter to make than the head and the body. Dragonslayer: This little fella is just as important as the dragon in this artpiece. I had wanted to overcrowd this guy with so many little weapons and detail but then decided that his agility in this fight was more important than armor as any blow could easily pierce through anything he wears. Afterall, he isn't Dream. I put a sword in his right hand, a shield on his left, a bow on his gripping side and the quiver tilted on the right so it makes it more convenient for the dragonslayer to shoot. What he wears is pretty simple, just some lightwear with paddings intended to save him in minor injuries like falls. He wears gloves for protection obviously and so he doesn't rinse his hand against his rough weapons. Finally, he's got boots that are light to help with his agility and strong enough to withstand the harsh terrain. I think he turned out amazing. The Castle This is probably the eye sore of my art. Everything seems so nice until you look at it. Yes, true, the castle is necessary to add detail to my art, but it also just looks like a mutated rock monster. The points of view is also kind of screwy. On the bottom layer of the castle, it's as though your looking down on it. However, the left spire seems as if you were looking at the castle from beneath, and the rest of the castle is seen at eye level. I had done an exceptional job at utterly destroying the laws of physics. Tags:
