Just a possible backstory I decided to write down. I know it's not that good,,, Might use these OCs again, might not. --Saguaro's L i f e Story-- -Saguaro started out as an immortal, a somewhat minor deity. They had one sibling, Peyote, and they were very close. They often got into mischief together, stealing things and causing trouble, although Saguaro did it more often than Peyote. -Saguaro decided to steal an item from one of the Elder Gods one day, a powerful scroll that could grant godhood to anyone who found out how to use it, as well as increase their power greatly. After attempting to steal it and being caught, much of Saguaro's power was taken as punishment. -Angry and embarrassed, Saguaro waited until they were allowed to go to the annual Harvest Festival. They then enacted their revenge by sticking a powerfully enchanted scorpion in the elder deity (The one who had taken their power)'s food. It ended up stinging the powerful deity, who was greatly weakened. The rest of the deities were furious, and cursed Saguaro to always resemble the same scorpion they had used to attack the Elder Deity. -Peyote, taking pity on them, went to their dwelling to deliver an enchanted necklace as a gift. He arrived only to be snapped at by Saguaro. Their argument turned into a fight, and Saguaro managed to permanently hurt their brother. Eventually, their brother overpowered them, being much stronger, and knocked them out. Unsure of what to do, their brother retreated, and told the other deities what had happened. -The other deities decided to trap Saguaro's soul and powers inside the same necklace their brother had given them, at least until Saguaro learned respect and loyalty. They then cast out the necklace into the mortal realm, giving whatever mortal received the necklace the power to command Saguaro until they lost possession of it, or died. Welp. That's the end. Please tell me if this resembles another story you've heard before, I don't want to accidentally steal a backstory.
OCs and art are all mine (@Seal_dragon). Please don't steal, copy, recolor, or trace any of my work! Thank you.
