I'll probably regret this later, but this took a whopping 3 hours after watching the movie 4 times. Antonio is my favorite :) 2/9/2023 - This has been classified as old I think Encanto hit pretty close to home. Not like, the moral or anything, but the culture. My mother's side is Italian, but she grew up in Venezuela and adopted their culture. My dad's side was Venezuelan, but he grew up in Colombia, so we have lots of cultures under our roof. The arepas, the drum beat, the dialect all made me think of my parents and grandparents. I certainly think Disney did a great job projecting what Columbian culture was onto screens.
