I honestly love your designs, they are amazingggg- -Original design is Siren by @-Blue_Pastels- Sketch 1. Headshot/Half body thing I guess, anatomy of a Water Cat [ Felinus hydroaquarius ], more specifically, Siren, who is a council member. [Zoom in for better viewing ] Sketch 2. Fullbody of Siren that I really h@te- [ that awkward moment when you spent more time thinking of the backstory & bio then actual design ] ~~~~ [ the way I'm going to do this is provide a few flashbacks, and then a short story to hint on clues to Siren's backstory, but keep it fully shrouded in mystery as well. ] ~~~~ Flashback 1: "Siren Sleepsong, Child of Pearl Sleepsong and Citizen of the Hydroborealis, do you accept this honor?" Siren fidgeted with nervousness, barely managing a nod. It was happening! Today was the day she'd become a Council Trainee- destined to one day become a Council Member [and maybe even a Council Leader!], one of those who ruled over the whole Land- regardless of species. She couldn't help swishing her tail, creating small bubbles, like she had done when she was younger. "I-I accept." Siren replied, her voice clear, and yet annoyingly shaky at the same time. Siren closed her eyes as a sharp pain surrounded her, making their thoughts fuzzy. She had been fully prepared for the pain of course- Moonstone and Pearl, her mothers, who also served as Healers, had both told Siren about the markings that would appear beneath her eyes, and how it was a test of pain and all of that. Now that it was actually happening, Siren could see why it was called such a thing- it took all she had to keep from wailing. And then it was gone, leaving her with the three other Trainees-to-be. The Council Leader, a Leafee by the name of Dragonfly Sap-sucker had marked her as an official trainee. Destined for the Council... Destined for greatness. ~~~~ Siren swam along the seemingly endless corridors of the `Palace` [ it obviously wasn't a palace, but the Council's Assembly and Quarters did look like one, and it was popular among the trainees to call it that. ]. This was the Water Cat area, with studded pearls and sapphires, filled with water, and of course, charms in case the cat ever wanted to go to another part of the 'Palace'. Right now, Siren had taken on the role of Messenger, using their quick speed to get messages across. [for example, she had just received one from a fellow Water Cat trainee, Frostbite Rapidstream, to take to a Glider, whose species had some control over wind and weather. She didn't know who the particular Glider was, only that its name was Bateleur Wind-driver, and that they were a friend of Frostbite. Technically, the messages weren't used for such trivial purposes, but really, everyone would send them- whether it was just some friendly chatting, or a warning to stop talking so loudly. Either way, it was a Messenger's job to deliver those messages. Which meant a LOT of swimming. Not that Siren minded- she loved her job and would only be swimming nonstop for a year or so before becoming a full Council member. The thought of it filled her up of ecstasy, just as it done over three months ago, when she was accepted as a Council Trainee, des- ᗯE ᗩᖇE ᑌᑎᗪEᖇ ᗩTTᗩᑕK! ~~ A Water Cat gasped, eyes snapping open to a sea of tranquil blue. /What had happened? / She wondered. /Where am I? / A thought wandered in her head. /Who... am I? /. A small fear wrapped around her- who was she? She was a Water Cat, obviously, but a gnawing question tugged in her brain. They couldn't remember their name. Or what she was. She looked around, swimming. At least they remembered that. But still, a feeling of emptiness was around the place. Maybe that was her. /Okay. Let's assess the situation. You don't know your name, what you're doing here, what time is it. You do know your pronouns and gender. / They thought quietly, swimming around further, before catching sight of the jewelry she was wearing. It seemed to awaken another memory. An important one. "ᴀɴᴅ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴛʜɪs ʜᴇᴀᴅ sᴛʀᴀɴᴅ, ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ᴀɴ ᴏғғɪᴄɪᴀʟ ᴍᴇᴍʙᴇʀ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ʜʏᴅʀᴏʙᴏʀᴇᴀʟɪs." The Hydroborealis. The Monarch-ruled home of more than 98% of the Water Cat population. She was a Water Cat, correct? It wasn't much, but at least she had something to go off of. With a new determination, she took a deep breath of salt-water, feeling the momentary tingle as her gills filtered out the salinity, before swimming off. To where? To what? No idea. But she was here for a reason. And they might as well find out.
