This story is long!): Ever since a young age, Amber has been curious about jewels and birthstones. She lives with her low-income father in the small town of Yewstone. When she was five, her father got promoted and finally had enough money to get the stuff other families had. Amber wanted a garnet necklace instead of a doll, though. Even though her father thought it was a phase that would pass by in a few months, he got it for her. She loved it, but she hardly ever wore it in fear that it would break or get lost. In the following years, Amber and her father started digging on Mt. Mae with a group of researchers on the weekends. Amber started a gemstone collection which consists of three garnets, two emeralds, two amethysts, and one diamond. She is currently ten, and still lives with her father in the petite town of Yewstone.
