minor tws: flashing (ig), weapons, implied death, weird eye stuff !!!! spam flag if you want it to work !!!! instead of bothering to explain why this took so long or commenting on the weird parts of this animation i will shamelessly promote the last life smp the first thing that newcomers think when they read the phrase "last life smp" is that it sounds like the dream smp. is it the dsmp? no. are there any people from the dream smp in it? no (though a couple of them are friends with some of the less problematic dsmp ccs, it isn't ever mentioned in last life). was it inspired by the dream smp? well, maybe, looking at the initial concept of last life's predecessor (3rd life). but even if it was, it's extended FAR beyond what the original 3 lives concept was. to put it simply, last life is an improv series. it consists of 3-hour-long sessions, recorded by all the members at the same time every friday. it ran for 9 of these sessions. each session would be edited from the ccs' recordings from their povs so they could release their individual episodes every tuesday. but what does that have to do with improv? well, you see, nothing in last life was planned. nothing was scripted. every reaction is genuine and everything is randomized. there is no going off script because, aside from the individual people trying to plan from the beginning of their episodes, THERE IS NO PLAN. last life is impossible to predict and that's why it's so great. there's a concept in last life that's very interesting: at the start of every session, one or more players are selected to become the boogeyman. the boogeyman has to kill someone by the end of the session-- fail, and they go down to their last life. this elevates the improv aspect because anyone can have a plan, but if they become or are killed by the boogeyman? down the toilet. about half the sessions have one boogeyman and most of the rest have two, but one session had SIX. that was confusing to watch. anyway it's an improv minecraft roleplay server with 17 people in it (including grian, ldshadowlady, mumbojumbo, and an idiot dressed like captain america) and it will make you cry if you watch skizzlemans pov so. i highly recommend it. credits art/animation: me music: religion of loneliness by some vocaloid group that i didnt bother to look up fandom: last life smp characters: gtwscar, smallishbeans, mumbojumbo, and pearlescentmoon time taken: 11 1/2 hours (art), ~1 hour (coding)
