➤ disclaimer ! please do not send hate to anyone who is a koreaboo, this project is just for raising awareness about how being a koreaboo can be viewed as offensive, thank you ! ❝ the problem with koreaboos ❞ this is also an issue I wanted to talk about as a person who some people consider as a mild koreaboo due to my online nickname and profile. alright, firstly, what does the term “koreaboo” means? koreaboo, a term used for a non-korean person who pretends or tries to be “korean” by doing plastic surgery, using certain styles makeup, etc. and from my personal experience, they usually use korean terms / words in english context (like “saranghae oppar uwu”) and add “eu” to the end of english words like “hearteu” and so on. I agree with some people saying being a koreaboo is considered as racist towards east asian and korean people. and personally, I find koreaboos very annoying and sometimes very problematic and immature. I'm personally not serious with people being koreaboos, but please be aware that if you are koreaboo, there are some consequences. other than that, koreaboos have bad reputation and is looked down at in the k-pop community.
