Secret Dewfall Lore Nobody Will Read or Care About mwhahhaahha (2022): - Silk gel (the sparkly liquid thingy) has healing properties and is made of silkworm blood - When the foot (which belongs to Olive) steps down, it represents how he's stepping on silkworms and k1lling them to make silk gel - Olive holds silk gel in his hand - the blood of silkworms - Olive is a merchant, which is why there's a little creature shouting, 'Call me back!' at him; he hung up on him - Basil says, "I try to call you everyday," and "Stop it," which shows how he repeatedly tells Olive to stay away from his kids (Toast and Clover). Basil is quite protective of his kids and knows Olive's reckless tendencies. He doesn't want Olive to influence them, but in fact it's the kids that keep on approaching Olive, not the other way around. - To put it plainly, Toast is going through an identity crisis. He's questioning where he really comes from. He even made a conspiracy board. You can see him severing the possible connection that he comes from Starblight Valley (which is a place) - Olive is an adventurer. He's always been traversing new lands, so he knows about where Toast comes from (he visited there once) - Olive is under pressure. Toast and Clover keep on pressuring him to know more about the world - specifically where Toast comes from - as Basil refuses to tell them, but Basil is pressuring him to stay away from them. - Basil thinks he's right in shielding his kids like this. They barely know about his past and about the bad stuff happening outside the gates of Sunray Village (where they live), and Basil believes it's better this way. - If you see closely at the text 'TELEPHONE', the lock representing the O turns into a sticky note saying 'HCK'. This is where Toast comes from. Toast comes from Hilly Cliff Kingdom, located in an area known as Hilly Cliff (so creative, I know). It's far away from the Umbral Woods (where Sunray Village is) and is beyond Ampersand Grove. What's so special about Hilly Cliff Kingdom? Well, it's ruled by an evil king (we stan evil kings /j) and is a sad, sad, place. mwhahhaha. The evil king loves to eat people. Really. The evil king especially wants to eat Toast, because he is extra tasty /j. Nah. The evil king AKA that ugly bat king dude with the goofy ahh venus flytrap plant sticking out of his hollow skull IS OUT TO GET TOAST because he actually 'belongs' to him. It's complicated, but basically the crazed bat king dude man grew generations of birch trees to serve as his loyal servants (you can tell I was inspired by TOH). Toast was supposed to be his next one, but Honeydew took him away, saved him, and took care of him. So the crazy bat cannibalistic tyrant king dude Thanos man endgamed Honeydew by making Lemongrass (who works for him) possess Honeydew so that Honeydew wouldn't be able to take care of Toast. He could've just eaten her, but nah. He wanted Lemongrass to have a different body rather than her original one to spy on people for him. Toast escaped, though, and was raised by Honeydew's fiance/bf, Basil. So now, Basil is traumatised by the loss of Honeydew and doesn't want his kid anywhere near a cannibalistic tyrant, which is actually pretty reasonable when you think about it... - Olive says, "I'm the only one," which shows he believes HE'S right, not Basil. Olive believes that Toast deserves to know where he comes from. BTW Olive is just some dude who used to be friends with Basil. - At the end, there's a mysterious figure who is spying on Olive and Basil as they argue. This mysterious figure is LEMONGRASS, the secret spy of the sussy baka king man. Remember, she possessed Honeydew (a deer), so why does she look like her original body (a fox)? Well, when she possessed Honeydew, she became a Shifter. Her soul/spirit can temporarily leave the body and she can spy on ppl without them seeing her. Lemongrass's soul will always look like her original body, no matter which body she possesses. So here, she's spying on them as her soul, so they can't see her. - Wow that's the end of my lore rant, hope you enjoyed it. I know, it was so creative and not cringy at all.
