At age 14, she runs away, leaving her dark past behind. Adopted by a hunter, she learns survival skills and the art of hunting. On her 16th birthday, she is recruited in the society of spies called the Deathly Brotherhood. Only woman and youngest member, she is quickly respected for her courage, boldness, intelligence and incredible performances. Her first mission as a spy is a success. The Empire's enemies call her "The Raven", for she is quick and impossible to catch. During her training years, she becomes a skilled archer and a queen of camouflage. Missions commanded by Alina are successes and soon she becomes a Captain, the youngest ever in the society, and is invited to see the Emperor. On day, when on an important mission, she falls into a trap prepared by the Empire's biggest enemies, the Skyvers. That night, she nearly dies, but manages to escape with a prisoner. The next day, Alina tells the Empire's Council that there is a traitor within the Deathly Brotherhood. The traitor's identity is still unknown. On the Day of the Samurais, the biggest event of the year in Scar, an army of Skyvers attempt to murder the Emperor, who is saved by The Raven. Badly injured, Alina is sent to a camp where she can heal. A few weeks later, she is invited to a ceremony where the Emperor himself gives her the Empire's Medal of Courage, the highest reward in the Empire. Alina Glasstone becomes a warrior in the Emperor's Royal Army, while still fulfilling her spy missions.
