HELLO AND WELCOME TO "The New" UNDERTALE SANS FIGHT! (Read more for why it's also the L3gal engine, l3galname is also the name I use everywhere else) Lol this project took longer than expected but HEY, it's finally here :D Starting about a year and a half ago with the cringe sans fight HD, the engine has IMPROVED SO MUCH since then But hey, I'm not gonna make this too long, so I'll tell you the basics ------------------------CONTROLS------------------------ Arrow keys / WASD to move You can also use the edges of the screen for mobile support Z to select, or advance text (tap the center of the screen on mobile) X to go back, or fast-forward text C for the menu (only in the OVERWORLD) --------------------USING THE ENGINE------------------- QUICK NOTE - This will most likely be the project model that gets updated in the future! Create your own undertale fights by remixing this project! (The base engine will only move if this eventually hits the Scratch code limit) THE SOUL SPRITE - Used for setting items - Max HP - Toggling KR/Karma - invincibility frames - ATK and DEF values THE ATTACK SPRITES - Used for creating attacks for in-battle - (Please find the looong "When I start as clone" script for a comment with instructions) THE ENEMY SPRITE (labelled "Papyrus" in this project) - Used for creating dialouge in battle - Making the monster - Making the monster animations THE OVERWORLD - (I will make a project sometime in the future with a better overworld example, so you can set multiple rooms, and explain that there) -------------------------------------------------------------- Update log: 1/6/23 - Attack timing is now fixed, so no forced damage. Sans animates properly when dying. Minor visual changes 8/13/22 - A dust animation can be put onto monsters, blue and orange attacks can be controlled from THE SAME sprite now (no more switching back and forward), and a smooth scratch fencing removal is implemented (mostly) 6/9/22 - Added THREE new major features to the engine, 1. the HP bar and Menu buttons are all now moveable (everything below the box) 2. The soul can go to any position the menu buttons are at 3. The text engine for the box is much more customizable. There has also been a LOT more optimization for the engine so more code for you add in 4/9/22 - Added an feature that lets you disable/enable player inputs (could be used for something like making the soul move on its own) 2/16/22 - Fixed platform clipping, made the panning to sans on first encounter slower, small battle UI changes 1/17/22 - NEW BLUE SOUL (That's as accurate as it can possibly get) 1/5/22 - Bug fixes (forgot to add some stuff lol) 1/4/22 - Project released!
