This project is based on the testimony of Richard Billauer. The railroad and the end of the train show how he was considered a separate part of society because he was a Jew. The fence shows an internment camp. The man’s shadow shows he was left behind. Richard talks about how he wasn’t able to get on a train to Russia. He also talks about how he had to ride on top of a train. His testimony inspired me to make this project through his courage and resilience to make it through the holocaust.
